Since we opened our doors in summer 2007, Brooklyn Mercantile has remained true to its mission: to offer our community many choices in products, projects and provisions that contribute to making life a little lovelier. Our strong commitment to quality results and timely service supports our aim to fulfill our clients’ wishes.


With the exciting addition of The Studio at Brooklyn Mercantile we have expanded our mission by offering intimate on site classes in sewing, crafts, quilting, and more. Now firmly established, the Studio has earned community esteem for bringing together the successful combination of students and teachers, creating a fun learning experience in a nurturing environment. Proprietor Tamara Lee, an independent film and video producer, brings to Brooklyn Mercantile the same high quality endeavor she demonstrated in her more two decades in the film and video industry. Her love of travel has taken her to exotic places in the world, where she has met artisans and crafts people and found just the right pieces to bring home to Brooklyn Mercantile clients.
