The holidays are here! We've been busy at Brooklyn Mercantile preparing for them since the day we opened. In making our lists and checking them twice, we ran out of space here to mention or do descriptive justice to everything.  Come in and see for yourself all the surprises in store for you. Come in often. We have new things arriving several times a week.

Xmas OrnamentWe are featuring vintage-inspired ornaments and lovely Czech glass garlands. We're the first - and last - place you'll look for that elusive I'll-know-it-when-I-see-it gift or piece because it's right here, or can be custom ordered from one of our specialty artists and craftspeople.

pillowsAfter much anticipation we have just received and opened the boxes from fabric artist Diana Vicenti! Wait until you see and touch her beautiful handmade pillows, table runners and Christmas stockings sewn from vintage French mattress ticking and linens. Be certain to ask about runners created from fabric from the Basque region. And have you seen our original artwork, mirrors and clocks to decorate your walls?

Our fabric, notions and craft shelves continue to grow with new items and replenish with your favorites. (Yes, we have rick-rack!) Thinking of making your own special cards or keepsake booklets? We have exactly what you're looking for to spark ideas.  Want to create fun family projects, your own party favors or special gifts? Come in and see what strikes your fancy to fire your imagination with light and warmth for the long winter days and months.
Dear Friends,

Thank you for all your support over the last year while I worked to realize the dream of opening a specialty home furnishings shop. These first few months of being open have been very exciting.

I have thoroughly enjoyed searching the world -- as well as right here in our own Brooklyn and New York State -- to bring an eclectic array of items for you to discover you can't live without. I'm proud and excited to be among local Brooklyn merchants who, with your patronage and encouragement, help to sustain our vibrant, thriving neighborhood.
